Job summary

Truist is seeking a finance professional to own quality-assured financial reporting for Corporate Real Estate activities. You will be a subject matter expert for ASC 842 lease accounting, shaping policies and ensuring compliance across reporting and controls.

The role emphasizes management reporting, analytical finance work, and collaboration with LOB and SFO teams to ensure accurate GL recording and timely close.  Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education and related training.
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience with complex financial analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to support executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review lease contracts to determine proper accounting under ASC 842 and Truist policies.
• Prepare and review monthly reporting and analyses to support the closing process.
• Provide accounting guidance for new products or transactions.
• Support internal controls over financial reporting and policy adherence.
• Analyze GL activity and variances for month-end close.
• Collaborate with lease administration and transaction managers to monitor activity.
