Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin seeks an Environmental Protect Spcl IV to coordinate asbestos, lead-based paint, and HazCom programs. You will provide expert oversight, guidance, and strategic implementation of regulatory policies, ensuring compliance with TAHP Act, NESHAP, AHERA, and THCA.

The role requires senior-level environmental health expertise, coordination with state and federal agencies, and leadership in grant management and QA/QC reviews.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in physical or natural science, architecture, or engineering preferred.
• Experience in preparing professional technical reports and regulatory documents.
• Experience coordinating inter-team work and project delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the Asbestos, Lead-based Paint and HazCom program activities and policy development.
• Provide technical guidance and consult with stakeholders on regulatory matters.
• Manage grants and ensure QA/QC for investigations and reports.
• Assist in emergency response planning and COOP activities.
