Larson Maddox in Chicago seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join our national practice. The role focuses on product liability, toxic tort, environmental, asbestos, talc, and complex commercial litigation on behalf of manufacturers, suppliers, insurers, and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate handles all phases of litigation, drafts pleadings and motions, conducts legal research, takes depositions, and coordinates filings in court.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Illinois bar admission.
• 3–5 years of litigation experience in a law firm.
• Experience handling asbestos defense and complex commercial litigation preferred.
• Environmental, toxic tort or talc exposure experience a plus.
• Strong academic credentials and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from filing through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other filings.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and similar platforms.
• Take and defend depositions; attend hearings and mediations.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage large document productions.
• Coordinate and submit filings in state and federal courts.
