Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration is seeking a field technician to support mitigation efforts, including asbestos and lead removal, disposal, and decontamination at client sites. The role requires operating heavy equipment, following MSDS protocols, and adhering to safety standards.

The candidate will work under supervision, lift heavy materials, and participate in BELFOR safety training to safeguard client property and maintain compliance with regulations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Asbestos Certification with Medical Card is required.
• Lead Certification is required.
• Hazardous Waste Certification is required.
• English language literacy and fluency is required.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from Team Leader.
• Learn and implement MSDS protocols for chemicals used in mitigation.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Record operational or environmental data.
• Sort hazardous waste at landfills following disposal procedures.
• Operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport waste.
• Load or unload materials using hoists or forklifts.
• Decontaminate equipment or sites to remove hazardous substances.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
