Job summary

Blue Shield Environmental, part of the Southeast Restoration family, seeks an experienced Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to lead projects across Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. The role travels during the week with hotel and per diem covered; weekends off.

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred to communicate with diverse crews and clients. You will run job sites, lead crews, ensure safety, proper containment, and regulatory compliance, and report daily with photos and logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of asbestos abatement supervision experience.
• Ability to obtain Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor licenses in GA, TN, AL.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NESHAP and EPA regulations.
• Proven ability to lead abatement crews in high-risk environments.
• Strong communication with clients, contractors and agencies.
• Willingness to travel overnight during the week.

Responsibilities

• Supervise asbestos abatement projects across GA, TN and AL.
• Lead abatement crews and temporary workers, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal asbestos regulations.
• Oversee site setup, containment, decontamination, negative air and air monitoring.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce PPE use.
• Protect customer homes, maintain clean sites, and present professionally.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and project teams, flagging scope changes.
• Complete daily field reports, logs, waste manifests, and compliance docs.
• Prepare work areas to pass clearance on first pass.
• Train crew members on safe and efficient practices.
• Travel to project sites during weekdays with overnight stays.

Southeast Restoration is a 25-year-old, Christian, family-owned business specializing in full-service restoration. Blue Shield Environmental operates as a separate entity, fully supported by Southeast Restoration, with the goal of streamlining the restoration process for customers dealing with asbestos or lead-containing materials. By integrating testing and abatement services, we aim to restore more lives—faster.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to lead and manage asbestos abatement projects across Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. This role travels during the week, with hotel and per diem covered, and weekends are off. Most of our work helps homeowners get back into their homes after a water, fire, or storm loss, alongside a growing number of commercial projects. You will run the job site, lead the crew, and make sure every project is done safely, cleanly, and to code. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are preferred to better communicate with diverse crews and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage residential and commercial asbestos abatement projects throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
• Lead and direct abatement crews, including temporary workers, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal asbestos regulations, including OSHA, NESHAP, and EPA guidelines.
• Oversee job site setup and execution, including containment, decontamination, negative air, and air monitoring procedures.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce proper use of PPE, respiratory protection, and abatement procedures.
• Protect the customer’s home and belongings, keep job sites clean, and represent Blue Shield professionally with homeowners.
• Communicate with the Operations Manager, project managers, inspectors, and clients to provide updates and flag scope changes right away.
• Complete daily field reports with photos, plus work logs, waste manifests, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare work areas to pass clearance the first time.
• Train and develop crew members on safe, efficient abatement practices.
• Travel to project sites during the week, with overnight stays as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain an Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor license in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in asbestos abatement supervision.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal asbestos regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Ability to lead and manage abatement teams in high risk environments.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel overnight during the week (Monday through Friday).
• High attention to detail and ability to document projects accurately.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and 10 panel drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lead (RRP), mold, water, and fire remediation.
• Experience in insurance restoration or residential abatement.
• Experience leading temporary workers.
• Background in environmental health and safety.
• Proficiency with smartphones, Microsoft Office, and electronic job documentation.
• Knowledge of air monitoring procedures and clearance testing requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear full PPE and a respirator for extended periods.
• Must pass a respirator medical evaluation and annual fit test.
• Must comply with OSHA’s respirator regulations, including facial hair requirements.
