Job summary

The individual hired for this position will conduct ASAM assessments and other mental health services assessments in the Greater Richmond area, typically 4 days per week. Responsibilities include intake paperwork, case management or therapy as needed, screening referrals, and documenting Medicaid/Magellan status.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals in psychology, social work, or human services.
• Ability to conduct ASAM assessments and related mental health services.
• Flexible schedule; part-time to full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial ASAM assessments and intake paperwork for substance abuse assessments.
• Provide case management or therapy as needed.
• Screen referral calls and gather referral information.
• Check Medicaid/Magellan status and verify insurance details.
• Complete initial authorization and ISP before end of interview.
• Prepare intake notes for all clients assessed; perform other duties as qualified.
