Job summary

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of post-graduate legal experience that includes civil and/or criminal trial experience.
• Admitted to practice law in New York state.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings and papers.
• Engage in motion practice, including research, drafting, and oral arguments.
• Oversee discovery (interrogatories, document discovery, depositions).
• Select and work with expert witnesses; negotiate settlements; trial preparation; represent the state at mediation and trial.
