PrideStaff - San Diego is seeking a quality inspector to support aerospace, defense, and medical-device manufacturing. You will perform in‑process and final inspections, applying GD&T to drawings and customer specs, and maintain accurate electronic records.

The role requires 1+ year of dimensional inspection experience, proficiency with precision tools, and print reading ability. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred for daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dimensional inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and related precision metrology tools.
• Print reading capability with GD&T fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail and impartial decision‑making.
• Comfort with digital data entry and electronic record keeping.
• AS9102 FAI experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform in‑process dimensional inspections per defined inspection plans.
• Complete final dimensional, visual, cosmetic, and functional inspections.
• Use precision tools: calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, go/no‑go gauges, and surface plates.
• Operate a CMM as needed for complex features and GD&T verification.
• Log measurement data in electronic quality/inspection systems accurately.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) to AS9102 when required.
• Initiate and document nonconformances through NCR process; make objective accept/reject calls.
• Confirm travelers are complete and all operations/inspections are recorded.
• Check equipment calibration status before use.
