Job summary

Talent Groups seeks an experienced IBM i/AS400 and Mainframe developer to join our product support team. You will develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot AS400 and Mainframe applications, handling batch jobs, DB2 databases, and system integrations.

Responsibilities include production support, incident resolution, performance tuning, code reviews, testing, deployments, and documentation. Strong RPG, COBOL, JCL, CICS, and modern DevOps practices are highly valued, with domain experience in

Qualifications

• Experience in IBM i AS/400 development and application support.
• Hands-on RPG III/IV (RPGLE), ILE RPG, CL/CLLE, DB2/400, SQL, and DDS.
• Experience with Mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot AS400/Mainframe applications.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
• Work with batch jobs, system integrations, and DB2 databases.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and documentation.
• Experience with Free Format RPG, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and Agile is preferred.
• Domain experience in Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Manufacturing is a plus.
