Job summary

Herc Rentals in Bonita Springs, Florida, is seeking a Software Quality Analyst to support ERP upgrade initiatives and ensure quality across the development lifecycle.

You will create test plans, manual and automated test scripts, and collaborate with development and business teams to validate requirements. Some travel and off-hours work may be required.

A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of QA experience with AS400/IBM i, SQL, and Agile/Scrum are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Formal training in Business Analysis and/or Project Management.
• Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
• Extensive experience in manual testing of legacy applications (green screen).
• Strong SDLC knowledge with Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience with testing web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Create Automation and/or Manual Test Plans for application testing.
• Create Manual Test Cases for Functional testing and Automation Test Scripts.
• Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing effort.
• Writes and executes queries to analyze data.
• Preps and executes testing activities pre, during and post releases.
• Participate in all sprint ceremonies and PI Planning events.
• Work with Functional and Development teams on testing required code changes.
• Translate technical ideas/designs to multiple audiences.
• Available to work off-hours as necessary.
• Some travel may be required.
