Job summary

2Link Partners is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Test Engineer for a contract role in the Chicago area. You will own testing across payments, AS/400 environments, and complex enterprise applications, ensuring high-quality releases.

You’ll design and execute tests, analyze data with SQL, and collaborate with offshore and onshore teams in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall settings. Local candidates only, strong attention to detail preferred.

Qualifications

• > 10 years of professional QA experience, non-negotiable.
• > Hands-on testing across the full software lifecycle.
• > Payment provider and processing testing must have been performed.
• > Experience with payment authorization/pre-authorization processes.
• > AS/400 experience required.
• > Strong QA methodologies and data validation skills.
• > Experience working with offshore teams and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• > Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases.
• < Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• < Validate payment workflows including authorization and pre-authorization.
• < Test across AS/400 environments and applications.
• < Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and verification.
• < Identify, track, and resolve defects; perform RCA as needed.
• < Manage multiple testing events and releases; collaborate with teams.
• < Support test reporting and QA lifecycle activities.
• < Help establish QA practices and standards across the organization.
