Job summary

CTAC, based in Petoskey, Michigan, seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and drive CTAC’s mission to connect people with the arts. The role oversees directors across facilities, partners with the Board, and advances programs, fundraising, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in arts management or related field preferred.
• Experience: At least seven years in leadership/management of an organization or nonprofit; experience with arts programs is desirable.
• Personal traits: visionary leader with strong communication, collaboration, and fundraising capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership: oversee daily operations and set annual objectives with program directors.
• Staff leadership & board engagement: recruit, train, evaluate staff, and liaise with the Board.
• Programs & services: guide exhibit and program direction; oversee program evaluation.
• Fundraising & development: build donor relationships and refine fundraising strategies with the Development team.
• Communications & community networking: maintain relationships with arts organizations and act as CTAC spokesperson.
