Qualifications

• Possess a valid Colorado Teacher License with endorsement in the area you are teaching
• Candidates with endorsements in CLDE, Bilingual Ed, Foreign Language or sheltered content are desired
• Be up to date on current learning theory and pedagogy
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff, parents and administrators

Responsibilities

• Displays knowledge of subject matter and District curriculum
• Plans instruction aligned with curriculum for assigned subject areas/grades
• Differentiates instruction to meet student needs
• Implements evaluations and provides feedback to students
• Serves as facilitator and coordinator of learning
• Establishes classroom discipline per Board Policy
• Organizes students for effective instruction
• Fulfills contractual and professional responsibilities
• Submits required student records
• Participates in arts integration planning and collaborations
• Supports arts integration across content areas
• Assists in data collection to assess the integration model
• Provides arts opportunities for all students and sponsors advanced experiences for identified students
