Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks an Arts Teacher Pipeline Support to launch and execute a multi-year initiative to increase certified arts educators in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, and media arts.

Reporting to the Director of Arts Access & Operations, the role partners with CPS units and universities across Illinois to design pathways, certify teachers, and expand residency and endorsement programs, while tracking progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for the role.
• Experience in K-12 arts education or teacher recruitment preferred.
• Knowledge of arts education pathways, residency/endorsement programs.

Responsibilities

• Map the current arts teacher preparation landscape in Illinois and surrounding states.
• Analyze educator workforce data to identify high-need disciplines and credential gaps.
• Provide recommendations to inform CPS partnerships with universities and providers.
• Support the building and maintenance of programs with university partners and arts organizations.
• Collaborate with the Talent Office to align recruitment and hiring efforts.
• Plan and expand initiatives including Arts Teacher Residency and endorsement pathways.
• Coordinate targeted recruitment campaigns for high-need disciplines.
• Represent CPS at educator recruitment fairs and university expos.
• Develop outreach strategies to raise awareness of new CPS arts teaching pathways.
• Design and implement departmental tracking systems for recruitment and hiring progress.
• Generate monthly reports on open positions and progress toward pipeline goals.
• Make actionable recommendations to refine strategy and scale models.
• Other duties as assigned.
