Job summary

Alliance Theatre, part of the Woodruff Arts Center, seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and campaign initiatives. The role involves collaboration with senior leadership, boards, and cross-campus partners to secure gifts that support performances, education programs, and community initiatives.

The CDO will manage a talented eight-member development team, oversee annual fund programs, and drive philanthropy across major and principal gifts,

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience building, leading, and maintaining a multi-member fundraising team.
• Proven ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward five- and six-figure gifts annually.
• Experience growing the annual fund across multiple campaign verticals (annual, foundation, major gift, board giving).

Responsibilities

• Lead Alliance Theatre fundraising and stewardship activities.
• Manage a multi-member development team and set donor strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Woodruff Arts Center for funding opportunities.
• Oversee budget and reporting for development activities.
• Act as liaison to Board of Directors and lead donor engagement.
