Artist in Residence

Artists in Residence have a specialized talent and skill in one of the arts, such asdance, theater, music, literary or visual arts. Artists in Residence work with middle school or high school students, sharing their knowledge in an art form, build art-making skills, and encourage the creative process. Artists in Residence present art programs, understand and adapt to the learning needs of a diverse student population, and work collaboratively with others.

Artists in Residencemay be required to lift, push, pull, or carry art supplies, equipment, instruments, and classroom furniture weighing up to 40 lbs. Must also bend, twist, reach, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
