Job summary

Stimulus Coffee + Bakery in Pacific City, Oregon, is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our team. You’ll work with other pastry staff to produce baked goods according to par sheets and prep lists, delivering on guest and department expectations.

You will mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of pastries, uphold brand and health standards, and contribute ideas to improve the guest experience. Must be 18+, have a Food Handlers Card, and be ready to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Food Handlers Card Oregon state approved.
• 1 year combined experience in production bread baking and dessert items, or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and work cohesively as part of a team.
• Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Skills to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written instructions, ingredients and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Produce baked goods and other ready-to-go food items based on par sheets and prep lists coordinated with Pastry Chef and leadership.
• Mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of baked goods.
• Contribute to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the quantity and quality of baked goods.
• Achieve the brand, safety, and health standards laid out by the Pastry Chef and Noble House Hotels and Resorts.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment that is at or beyond health department and company standards.
• Meet guest expectations by keeping the Grab and Go case filled and assisting baristas to ensure a clean dining room experience.
• Provide feedback or ideas to improve guest experience, daily operations, or menu options to pastry chef.
