Job summary

Harmons Grocery is seeking an enthusiastic artisan bread baker for our bakery counter. You will mix, shape, score, and bake artisan breads, receive and store products, and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications include reading recipes, basic math for scaling, and a Food Handler’s Permit. Weekend/evening shifts are required, and a strong commitment to quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Basic math skills for halving/doubling recipes.
• Knowledge of baking procedures and times.
• Possession of a Food Handler’s Permit preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows established store policies and procedures.
• Ensures quality and freshness of all products.
• Maintains product assortment and inventory for artisan bread counter.
• Verifies pricing accuracy and signage, especially for ad items.
• Keeps bakery clean and sanitized daily.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Follows recipes and techniques for mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking breads.
• Supports bakery operations to ensure overall success.
