Job summary

Harmons is seeking a Bakery Associate to maintain quality and product levels for our fresh baked artisan breads. You will mix, shape, score, and bake dough, receive and store products, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires following precise recipes and techniques, ensuring product freshness, and supporting the bakery team, including weekend/evening shifts. Food handling knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Experience with artisan breads and dough preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Basic math for scaling recipes.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all bakery products.

$15.00 - $19.65 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all fresh baked artisan bread products in the Bakery. This person will be mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking artisan breads, receiving and storing product, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the Bakery provides
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the artisan bread counter
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all artisan bread products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the Bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Follows precise recipes and techniques for the mixing, shaping, scoring, and baking of Harmons’ artisan breads
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Bakery as a whole
