Job summary

United States Army Reserve is seeking candidates for an Artillery Mechanic role. You will supervise and learn to perform maintenance and recovery operations on self-propelled field artillery systems, including hydraulics, power drives, and weapons control.

Job description

Enlist as a Soldier into the United States Army and As an Artillery Mechanic, you’ll supervise and gain the skills needed to perform maintenance and recovery operations on all self-propelled field artillery cannon weapon systems, including automotive, turret, fire control, and chemical protection subsystems. You’ll learn the proper methods to check the hydraulics system, maintain and repair the power drive, the weapons systems, and the computers. You will also learn to identify, use, and maintain a wide range of tools to get the job done. This is not a civilian contractor position. No experience necessary. Position is entry level.

Requirements

• A U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card
• 17 to 34 Years Old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Meet Tattoo Guidelines
• No Major Law Violations
• No Medical Concerns

TESTING & CERTIFICATIONS

• 104 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available
• 10 weeks of Basic Training
• 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
• 99 ASVAB Score: Mechanical Maintenance (MM)

OR

• 88 ASVAB Score: Mechanical Maintenance (MM)
• 85 ASVAB Score: General Technical (GT)
