DC Army National Guard seeks a Cannon Crewmember to operate howitzers, learn artillery tactics, and contribute to battlefield readiness. You will join a skilled team and gain hands-on training with high-tech artillery systems, preparing for diverse missions while maintaining discipline and physical fitness.

Initial training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), with ongoing opportunities for tuition assistance and retirement benefits

Competenze

• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure.
• Must be able to make quick decisions.
• Capable of working as a team member.
• Must meet Army National Guard enlistment requirements.

• Conducting wire and radio communications
• Identifying target locations
• Setting, loading, and firing artillery
• Using computers to generate fire direction data
• Operating heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles
• Transporting and managing artillery ammunition
• Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
• Participate in reconnaissance operations
