Motion Recruitment is seeking a Lead MLSecOps Security Engineer to own secure AI/ML development across hybrid environments in the US. The role blends software engineering with advanced AI security, including agentic AI, LLM threat modeling, and CI/CD security integrations.

9–12 month contract-to-hire with onsite in Roseland, NJ or Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Python and backend security, strong communication, and experience securing AI/ML pipelines and workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT or cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years hands-on software engineering.
• Strong Python/backend development experience.
• Hands-on AI/ML and MLOps experience.
• Experience with AI coding agents and tools (GitHub Copilot, etc.).
• Understanding of Agentic AI, autonomous workflows and RAG.
• Knowledge of OWASP AI/ML and LLM vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and secure AI/ML pipelines for model evaluation, deployment and inference.
• Evaluate and secure AI coding agents and autonomous workflows.
• Develop security guardrails for AI-assisted software development platforms.
• Establish an Agentic Development Lifecycle security framework.
• Assess security risks for models, agents, prompts, datasets, and AI apps.
• Develop Python code and automation for AI/ML security.

Our client is a global leader in human capital management and HR technology. Based out of Roseland, NJ and Alpharetta, GA, they are looking to hire a Lead MLSecOps Security Engineer on a contract basis.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, helping establish how AI coding agents, autonomous workflows and machine learning systems are securely developed and deployed. The ideal candidate enjoys remaining hands-on with Python and AI/ML technology while tackling emerging security challenges involving Agentic AI, LLMs, model security and AI-assisted software development.

Contract Duration: 9-12 month Contract to Hire

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of IT or cybersecurity experience
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Strong Python/backend application development

Daily Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure AI/ML pipelines for model evaluation, deployment and inference
• Evaluate and secure AI coding agents and autonomous development workflows
• Develop security guardrails for AI-assisted software development platforms
• Help establish an Agentic Development Lifecycle security framework
• Assess security risks involving models, agents, prompts, datasets and AI applications
• Develop Python code and automation supporting AI/ML security
• Integrate model and security scanning into CI/CD pipelines
• Assess emerging AI/LLM threats including prompt injection, poisoning and adversarial attacks
• Partner with ML engineers, data scientists, developers and security teams
• Document and communicate AI security controls and risks
