The role involves capturing, developing, and architecting AI technologies for operational analysis and future threat adaptation.

Qualifications & Experience

• BS degree in Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience integrating AI technologies into practical applications, preferably in simulation or wargaming contexts.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data collection, analysis, and visualisation using Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Experience with generative AI models, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT‑3 or GPT‑4.

Specific Requirements

• Contribute to the integration of AI into NATO’s warfare development and capability efforts.
• Collaborate with wargaming experts to identify AI impact on design, scenario development, analysis, adjudication, and support to human teams.
• Support integration of traditional and generative AI into wargaming, enhancing strategic depth and execution.
• Develop real‑time analytics and visualisations to support decision‑making during wargaming simulations, e.g., using Power BI.
• Support human‑machine teaming through AI tools that enhance collaboration between participants and systems.
• Design and conduct experiments to test AI applications in wargaming scenarios.
• Document and present findings from AI integration experiments to stakeholders, proposing improvements.
