Job summary

Knife River - South is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Articulated Truck Drivers to support unloading trains and transporting materials at our Burnet facility. The role involves operating articulated off-road dump trucks, assisting with railroad work, and covering related tasks around the asphalt plant.

Night shifts may be required as schedules vary. The ideal candidate has heavy equipment experience, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday

Qualifications

• 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Experience in construction/mining/aggregate environments preferred.
• Overtime and flexible hours, including some nights, required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate articulated off-road dump trucks to transport and unload materials.
• Assist with train unloading operations.
• Perform routine pre-operation inspections and report issues.
• Maintain areas around railroad tracks and operate loaders when needed.
• Inspect railroad tracks and measure track gauge as required.
• Support general plant operations and material handling.
• Communicate with supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
