Job summary

21c Museum Hotels in Louisville is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. You will inspect, clean, and document parts and submit purchase requests as needed.

You will also respond to guest or team requests, ensure energy efficiency, replace filters, and conduct periodic preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills.
• Minimal comprehension and literacy required to read instructions, repair manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.
• Cleans and maintains all equipment and work areas.
• Documents all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.
• Reports any unsafe conditions to the Chief Engineer.
• Follows up on Housekeeping calls for maintenance issues.
• Fixes broken furniture as assigned.
• Ensures that all work orders are completed.
• Changes air and water filters throughout building.
• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
