Job summary

The Landing of Panama City Beach Memory Care in Panama City Beach, FL is seeking a food service worker to prepare and cook meals for residents, families, and visitors. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure proper portioning and safe handling of food, and maintain cleanliness in accordance with policy and procedures.

Responsibilities include following standardized recipes, assisting with menu suggestions, and providing a respectful environment for residents and staff while adhering to HIPAA

Qualifications

• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Reasoning: Apply common sense to carry out simple written or oral instructions.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Physical Demands: Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; ability to stand, walk, and use hands.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the established menu.
• Insures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food following recipes.
• Oversees the kitchen operations and follows policy and procedures.
• Maintains sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen, and storage areas daily.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes per dietician guidelines.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and to control costs.
• Ensures a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
• Responds promptly to resident and family requests.
