Position Overview

Bishop Hogan Memorial School in Chillicothe, MO is seeking candidates for a part-time K-8 Art Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The position involves approximately 9 hours per week. The teacher will fulfill the mission of the Catholic Church by planning, guiding, and evaluating the learning process of students within the framework of the school's philosophy, organization, and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties as assigned by building administration.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility in confidentiality, sound judgment, dress, enforcing diocesan and school policies, and general behavior.
• Manage inappropriate behavior and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Promote positive relationships and effective communication with staff, parents, and students.
• Prepare and implement effective lessons using diocesan standards.
• Be an active member of a faith community and model the teachings of Jesus.
• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.

Qualifications

• Trained in Protecting God's Children.
• A valid teaching certificate.
