Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college or university in the relevant educational field is required.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field is required.
• Special Education requirements apply for related teaching assignments and certifications.
• ESOL & Gifted endorsements or equivalent are required by Georgia PSC.
• CTAE education requirements apply where relevant.
• Must pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Minimum two (2) years of verifiable industrial work experience.
• Industry licensure may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates by phone, email, or video conferencing with district personnel, students, and/or parents.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Assesses and documents progress, including achievement, performance, and attendance.
• Collaborates with general education teachers and special education staff as required.
• Maintains regular attendance and participates in required meetings and professional development.
