Qualifications

Requirements

• A strong background in visual arts and a passion for helping students express creativity, build confidence, and develop their unique strengths through artistic experiences.
• An understanding of how art can serve as a pathway for students to engage with history, literature, culture, and interdisciplinary learning.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with classroom teachers and school leaders.
• A strong desire to participate in ongoing professional learning to develop a deep understanding of dyslexia and its impact on learning.
• An open-minded approach to instruction, including a willingness to utilize innovative, multisensory, and student-centered teaching practices.
• A growth mindset and willingness to receive, reflect upon, and implement feedback regarding instructional practices.
• Evidence of strong classroom management, organization, and student engagement skills.
• A willingness to participate in collaborative planning and cross-curricular instructional opportunities.
• A commitment to individualized instruction that recognizes and nurtures the strengths, interests, and needs of each student.

Preferred Qualifications
