Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' The COVE School in Plymouth, MA seeks a temporary Art and History Teacher for grades 5-12. The role supports a year-round private special education school serving ages 7 to 18, with a residential component.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Educator Licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in Art/History or related field.
• Experience with program-specific population of children is highly desired.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans, activities, and assessments that promote active learning and differentiates lessons for diverse learners.
• Provides individualized academic instruction in Art and History to students with wide-ranging skill levels.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary teaching team to implement individualized educational programs.
• Encourages progress tracking and adjusts teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participates in behavior management and crisis intervention training and practices within classroom settings.
