Qualifications

  • Masters Degree Preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
  • PhD in Art History and previous experience teaching art history surveys with attention to global art and material culture.
  • Ability to include visits to relevant sites in Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one section of HIST 1202: Art History II in person on Tue/Thu 9:30-10:45 a.m. for fall 2026.
  • Prepare and follow course syllabus.
  • Incorporate visits to the Haggerty Museum of Art in syllabus.
  • Relate course learning outcomes and assessments to department and Marquette Common Core standards with guidance from Department chair.
  • Prepare and administer assessments as determined by syllabus.
  • Grade student work and submit midterm and final grades.
  • Maintain two office hours per week (may be virtual).
