Job summary

UOVO in Newark, Delaware is seeking an Art Handler/Driver to support day-to-day transportation and offsite activities from our Newark warehouse. The role requires 3–5 years of storage/collection management experience and comfort moving a wide range of art objects. Reports to the Operations Manager.

The position is full-time, on-site, with possible weekend or night work. CDL is a bonus and physical requirements include moving heavy artwork with diligence and care.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of storage/collection management experience.
• Experience handling a wide range of art objects.
• Strong communication with clients and team members.
• Ability to solve on-site issues and escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle art objects with proper packing, loading and securing for transport.
• Install/de-install artworks at in-house or offsite locations and adapt to scope changes.
• Prepare paperwork including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and reports with photos.
• Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities.
• Pack artworks for local, national and international transport.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and DOT regulations.
• Support internal teams as needed.
• Weekend/overtime work may be required; schedule flexibility expected.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by Manager.
