Job summary

UOVO in Washington, DC is hiring an Art Handler/Driver to join its team. The role involves handling a wide range of artworks, loading and securing for transport, and reporting to the Operations Supervisor.

You will install and de-install artworks at our DC facility or offsite locations, maintain accurate paperwork, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety standards. Weekend or overtime work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, packing and art handling.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds and work in varying weather.
• CDL license is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Handle art objects using proper packaging, loading, and securing for transport.
• Install/de-install artworks at in-house or offsite locations, addressing scope changes.
• Prepare paperwork: bills of lading, driver logs, and condition reports with photos when needed.
• Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities.
• Pack artworks for local, national and international transport and storage.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Support internal teams as needed.
• On-site five days a week; may include nights and weekends.
