Art Handler/Driver/Driver Helper

We are seeking a talented and driven Art Handler to join our organization.

Position Overview:

• The ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional with flawless attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide world-class service to our exclusive clientele.
• The candidate must understand exceptional customer service and have a track record of demonstrating such skills.
• Responsibilities include delivering, receiving, and transporting furniture, artwork, and other merchandise to residential and commercial locations, airports, seaports, or rail ports. Customer service is a top priority, as you will be the face of the company!

Art Handler Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of previous experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of procedures and materials used for art packing, installation/de-installation, rigging, gantry, wrapping, and transport.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, complete detailed paperwork, and work closely with high-end clients.
• Knowledge of art history, production, fabrication, or carpentry is a plus.

Essential Functions:

• Drive trucks with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo, materials, furniture, or artwork.
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with the base supervisor for instructions or dispatch.
• Keep truck logs according to regulations.
• Obey all traffic laws.
• Record materials and products transported.
• Secure cargo for transport by positioning blocks and tying ropes.
• Inspect and service the vehicle regularly.
• Operate vehicle equipment for loading, unloading, or dispersing cargo.
• Obtain customer signatures or collect payments as needed.
• Assist in manual loading and unloading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

All candidates must be enthusiastic, hardworking, well-groomed, and punctual. A minimum of 2 years of commercial truck driving experience and familiarity with local routes are required. Flexibility to work weekends is preferred.
