Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania's Art Gallery is seeking a friendly, professional Monitor to greet visitors, watch over the artwork, and assist with daily gallery needs. You will support the gallery director, exhibition curators and exhibiting artists by helping install and break down shows, remaining present during gallery hours and at events, and assisting with general office tasks as needed.

• This is a full semester commitment, ability to attend all shows is must.

Responsibilities

• Open gallery and the gates every day.
• Greet and monitor visitors in the gallery.
• Represent the department in all aspects in a professional manner.
• Help gallery director and exhibiting artists with installing and breaking down shows.
• Be a presence during Gallery hours as well as shows and exhibitions as agreed.
• Assisting the Administrative Assistant and Department Chair with various office tasks.
• Lock the gallery door and close the gates at the end of the day.
