Job summary

The Cantor Art Gallery at Holy Cross seeks a Manager of Academic and Public Engagement to support the Gallery Director by expanding curricular and public programs. You will engage students, faculty, and the public, and foster cross-campus collaboration aligned with the College’s liberal arts mission.

You will supervise student staff, help manage budgets and grants, coordinate events, and advance inclusive pedagogy that connects exhibitions to classroom learning and community experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of museum education, public programming, academic engagement, arts administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead academic engagement strategy; design and deliver interpretive and curricular programs for students, faculty, and the public.
  • Partner with Director and campus collaborators to develop public programs; coordinate contracts, hospitality, and scheduling for events.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student gallery attendants; ensure a professional, inclusive visitor experience.
  • Oversee budget activities, track expenses, assist with grant writing, and support diversity and equity initiatives.
