Job description

Our client, an innovative online publisher, is seeking an Art Director / Senior Graphic Designer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have portfolio samples showcasing a feminine aesthetic, working primarily on brands with a female demographic, OR experience in entertainment/TV. Please highlight this experience when applying.

This role is 40 hours/week, HYBRID in their San Francisco office, onsite 2-3 days/week.

As an Art Director / Senior Graphic Designer you will be responsible for:
- Work with CEO and internal stakeholders to guide rebranding initiatives with a focus on a more feminine aesthetic
- Conceptual hands-on design for digital publication covers across app, social and web
- Finalize cover designs for short films
- Perform expert-level image manipulation and complex illustration tasks
- Produce and edit animations and videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to ensure cohesive and impactful designs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and AI software advancements to integrate them into projects

Requirements:
- 8+ years of digital design experience with a clean and modern portfolio showcasing feminine aesthetic, or brands with a primarily female demographic
- Expert knowledge Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere or Final Cut Pro, After Effects
- Clear and concise communication, ability to take projects from concept to completion
- Expert-level skills in image manipulation, complex illustration, advanced layout design, animation, and video editing
- Strong project management skills with great attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment working across several projects at once
- Ability to handle a large volume of versioning requests for various sizes and languages
