Job summary

Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking an Art Director to be a hands-on craftsperson and innovative thinker with diverse artistic sensibilities and a strong portfolio.

The ideal candidate will lead design and storytelling across Sphere's output and experiences, shaping world-class concepts for digital and physical installations. Working within the Creative & Design team, you'll collaborate with experience designers, writers, motion graphics artists, technologists and other storytellers to develop

Qualifications

• 5 years of Design and Art Direction experience in a creative studio or agency.
• Demonstrated creative and design excellence with career progression in your portfolio.
• Proven track record of experiential activations at scale with artful storytelling content, live events, and immersive experiences with brand and cultural clients.
• Adept at visualizing concepts across a wide range of styles and mediums.
• Advanced proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, 3D software; Unreal knowledge a plus).

Responsibilities

• Design and direct the visual execution of creative concepts and deliverables across Sphere's portfolio of output and experiences, with a strategic approach to art direction, design and innovation.
• Lead design and animation teams on projects.
• Contribute to research, visual development and delivery of pitches and proposals for brand partnerships and moments.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director to respond to client feedback and fulfill strategic objectives.
• Work with production to ensure concepts are delivered within budget and timescales.
• Support the Design team cross-functionally, upholding goals, principles and processes.
• Lead a team of talented designers and nurture emerging talent.
• Create bold, iconic concepts for non-traditional, digital and physical installations and experiences.
