Job summary

Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking a Designer for a temporary 12-week assignment in Burbank, CA. The role is part-time, generally 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends possible to meet project deadlines.

You will collaborate with Creative Directors and Art Directors to craft visual concepts for brand identity, motion content and immersive experiences across environmental, web, print and digital platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in a fast-paced creative production studio or agency.
• Proficient in a variety of mediums to convey ideas (storyboards, mood boards, mockups).
• Experience across multiple styles as directed by the art director.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and presentation tools.
• 3D modelling/animation a plus (Blender, Cinema 4D).
• Strong foundation in typography, layout, color and spatialization.
• Able to communicate design process and propose production methods.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of emerging creative technologies and brand communications.
• Self-starter with strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from Creative Director to design original, scalable animated content across vision, storytelling, and concepting.
• Develop and design a dynamic multi-platform brand identity system for Sphere across environmental, web, print, mobile, merchandise, etc.
• Design experiential thinking across projects from Sphere brand to original Sphere IP, Art and Promo content to brand marketing partnerships.
• Design, sketch, illustrate concepts with strong visual storytelling.
• Develop storyboards, animatics and production-ready motion designs.
• Collaborate with project teams in research, ideation and development of original scalable concepts.
• Research and prepare creative pitch decks to communicate ideas to art directors, stakeholders and clients.
• Identify emerging trends in culture from design, art, film and music.
• Ensure that all work meets a high level of creativity, innovation and brand building.
• Receive and discuss feedback; be nimble and able to pivot quickly.
• Provide exceptional on-site experiences adhering to appearance/presentation guidelines.
