Job summary

Caleres, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, seeks an experienced Art Director to lead design for marketing materials across email, web, print, retail, and events. You’ll collaborate with the Creative Manager and Senior Designer on photography, styling, and project planning to elevate our brands.

Lead with a eye for typography, composition, and trend awareness, and mentor peers while delivering compelling visuals that reinforce the Caleres portfolio. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• BA in Commercial Art or related Art Degree.
• 2-5 years experience at an Advertising Agency preferred.
• Must be able to clearly communicate strategic intent and creative thoughts to creative manager and team, as well as internal Marketing partners.
• Ability to problem solve by identifying issues and finding alternative solutions.
• Strong understanding of typography and composition. (Product photography experience a plus)
• Thorough understanding of the creative process
• Works well as part of a team
• Knowledge/interest of current shoe/apparel trends preferred.
• REQUIRED: Mac platform, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Microsoft Office, Figma, Web/interactive experience a plus
