Resources for Human Development (RHD) is hiring a Direct Support Professional at Fine Line Studios in Bridgeton, MO. Join an arts-based day program and help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities express themselves and build independence through creative activities.

You will facilitate art projects, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and person-centered supports in a warm, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of direct experience with individuals with ID or in human services.
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete CPR and First Aid training.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate art activities and support individuals in exploring creativity and developing artistic skills.
• Encourage creative expression while helping participants build confidence, independence, and strengths.
• Provide compassionate care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Support ISPs and document progress in daily logs and reports.
• Ensure health, wellness, and safety of individuals served.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and the circle of support.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
