Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) in Saint Charles, Missouri, is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Blank Canvas Studios. This full-time role involves hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs, helping them build independence and participate in the community.

You will work with a team to implement person-centered plans, provide trauma-informed support, and assist with daily living activities while promoting safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation in English.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• FBI clearance when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support according to each individual's Person-Centered Support Plan.
• Encourage individuals to participate in activities that promote greater independence.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living based on their specific needs.
• Provide meal preparation, personal hygiene, toileting and other daily activities as appropriate.
• Support individuals in achieving goals identified in their program plans.
• Collaborate with clinical and program staff to ensure consistent, quality services.
