Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Art or related field with 18 Art hours from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience teaching at a community/technical college or similar post-secondary institution.
• Experience teaching seated, hybrid, and online courses.
• Familiarity with Canvas, Self-Service, and AVISO.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Art across day, evening, online, hybrid, blended, and lab-based sections.
• Participate in course and curriculum design and development of student learning outcomes.
• Engage in data collection and assessment activities.
• Fulfilling duties of instructors including ongoing professional development.
• Adjust to needs of students and the institution as required.
• Maintain open-door philosophy with students and refer to Student Services as needed.
• Develop and distribute syllabi for each course taught.
• Support administrative tasks related to attendance, grades, and book orders.
• Report problems or suggestions to the Lead Instructor or Dean.
• Encourage use of relevant learning resources and innovative teaching techniques.
• Collaborate with division on instructional services improvements.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by Lead Instructor and Division Dean.
