Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Radiology X-Ray Technologist with administrative functions. 50% of the day in radiology and 50% in clinic administration, performing radiographs, pulmonary tests, EKGs, and supervising the medical surveillance unit.

Must hold ARRT certification and have accredited Radologic Technology education. The role is hybrid, with relocation not offered and US citizenship likely required.

Qualifications

• 9 years with Bachelor's in Science; 7 years with Master's; 4 years with PhD.
• Graduate of an accredited Radologic Technology program.
• Current and active ARRT certification/registration.
• Ability to perform both clinical radiology duties and administrative responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day activities of the radiology section and surveillance physical program.
• Coordinates testing requests with Staff Physicians and nursing/medical staff.
• Operates radiographs, pulmonary function tests, EKGs and medical surveillance exams.
• Supervises the medical X-ray section and ensures OSHA-compliant timelines.
