Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech to join our healthcare team in Tiny Town, TN. Both FT and PRN opportunities are available.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant/X-Ray or Radiology Tech will greet patients, activate patient files, and support both patients and medical staff during clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and guide them through the treatment process.
• Communicate wait times and next steps clearly to patients.
• Address patient concerns and recognize emergency situations.
• Follow up on lab and x-ray results promptly.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring safety and proper techniques.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report malfunctions.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other procedures as trained and directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Valid State License to perform X-Rays.
• BLS Certification required.
