Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• ARRT certification required.
• State license by the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proficient with Windows-style applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and room for visit and explain procedures; ensure questions are answered before departure.
• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy to support the visit.
• Independently operate radiology equipment and RIS to perform imaging per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Complete timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
• Assist in departmental operations including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication and approach to the patient population.
