Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a capable and experienced Executive Assistant/Action Officer to join our team in supporting executive-level personnel, establishing effective relationships with the public, and providing customer service expertise, excellent oral/written communication skills, and organizational & time-management skills.

Responsibilities Include

  • Conduct independent research, analysis, and reporting on key topics of concern to federal staff;
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members to achieve collective mission goals;
  • Assist with program management and tracking, to include monitoring workplans, project status, and resource allocation;
  • Performs several administrative duties to include scheduling, controls, deliverables, time and attendance, reservations, calendar maintenance, and mail;
  • Facilitates and coordinates with management team for all management meetings, team meetings and prepares presentations/meeting materials, collects meeting minutes and circulates to team as action items for completion;
  • Provides high level executive support by managing calendars and day-to-day routine;
  • Coordinates weekly reports, perform ad hoc projects/taskers, edits and compiles for office leadership;
  • Follows up and tracks all contract deliverables and compiles needed responses into spreadsheets; and
  • Support day-to-day client relationships and communications.

Requirements Overview

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field required, postgraduate degree highly preferred,
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience required, 10+ years of experience highly preferred,
  • Experience supporting executive-level personnel and working in an R&D environment required,
  • Experience supporting ARPA-H, DARPA or related Federal advanced research programs (e.g., IARPA, ARPA-E, HSARPA) highly preferred; alternate experience at NIH, CDC, FDA, Public Health Service, USDA, or NSF also preferred.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and creativity in developing work products,
  • Ability to work well with teammates in a fast-paced environment,
  • Good analytical ability,
  • Proactive and detail oriented,
  • Able to quickly learn client environment/key stakeholders,
  • Ability to build and maintain meaningful client relationships,
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written,
  • Excellent customer service skills, and
  • Experience and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
