Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, serves diverse communities in Washington State with comprehensive health, human, housing, educational, and cultural services, specializing in serving Latinos.

Position Summary

The nurse practitioner (NP) is part of a care team dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients. The NP collaborates with staff to deliver team‑based coordinated care.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide primary medical care services in accordance with training, experience, certification, licensure, and Washington State Board guidelines.
  • Refer patients to specialists or other service sources when necessary.
  • Prescribe and/or dispense medication based on the NP’s prescriptive authority.
  • Participate in preventive health programs such as immunizations, disease detection, and disease prevention activities, including patient and community education with approval from the Clinical Director and/or Health Center Administrator.
  • Engage in clinical affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Clinical Director, and the Medical Director to improve the patient care experience.
  • Provide care for special groups of patients, including those in nursing homes or other institutions when appropriate.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and administrators to achieve programmatic goals.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
  • Licensed in the State of Washington.
  • Successful completion of an accredited ARNP program.
  • Certification by a recognized Nursing Certification Board (PNCB or FPNCB).
  • DEA certificate if seeking privileges to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
  • Knowledge and interest in the cultural aspects of Hispanic populations (preferred).
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
Additional Requirements
  • Pre‑hire and annual employee health screening required.
  • Annual influenza vaccination required; only employees with a documented medical or religious exemption may be exempt, and they must wear a mask during flu season.
  • Mandatory COVID‑19 and flu vaccine organization compliance.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary: $132,250.00 USD
