Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its care team. The NP will provide primary medical care, collaborate with physicians and staff, and support preventive health programs across Sea Mar’s clinics.

The role requires a Master's ARNP and WA licensure; DEA certificate and BLS CPR are required for prescribing and practice. Flu shots and health screenings are part of ongoing safety and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to Sea Mar patients in accordance with training and licensure.

This includes education programs for patients and community groups in the service areas with the approval of the Clinical Director and/or Health Center Administrator.* The NP is expected to participate in clinical affairs, working with administrative personnel, the Clinical Director and the Medical Director to improve the patient care experience.* The NP provides care for special groups of patients such as those in nursing homes or other institutions when appropriate.# Qualifications* Knowledge of and interest in the unique cultural aspects of the Hispanic people is needed.* Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.# Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Medical Screening Basic Education* Master's Degree, certified ARNP, licensed in the State of Washington.# Additional Requirements* Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required* Annual influenza vaccine required. Only exception is for employees with a medical or religious exemption approved by Administration. Employees with an approved medical or religious exemption must wear a mask at all time during the flu season.# Minimum Formal Training* Successful completion of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Program (ARNP).* Certified by the appropriate Nursing Certification Board (PNCB, FPNCB).* To prescribe legend drugs, the ARNP must have notation of approval on license.* A current DEA certificate is required if applicant is requesting privileges to prescribe controlled substances.* This position must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.* Additional education may be required for some specialty areas (orthopedics, etc.).# Supervision JOB RELATIONSHIP* Supervised by: the Chief Medical Officer; the Medical Director; and the Health Center Administrator or delegated administrator as appropriate.* The NP is evaluated on a yearly basis by staff, peers, the Medical Director; the Chief Medical Officer and the Health Center Administrator.* Employees Supervised: The NP provides clinical supervision to the assigned staff of nurses and other paraprofessionals.* Interrelationships: The NP works closely with Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, Administrators and Executive Director to realize the programmatic goals of the organization.Salary - Salary Plan, 132,250.00 USD Annual**What We Offer:**Sea Mar offers talented and motivated people the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing community health organization.
