Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage inbound/outbound Army equipment and comply with AR 710-2, DTR, and contract requirements. You will verify, document, and stage shipments, update GCSS-Army/DPAS/LMP, and coordinate with transportation teams.

Responsibilities include processing incoming receipts, preparing outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate logs while following OSHA and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s in logistics preferred.
• 2–4 years shipping/receiving experience (military or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army documentation and systems highly desirable.
• Army regulations: AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1.
• Transportation documentation and standards: DTR 4500.9-R.
• Army systems: GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, TC-AIMS II.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE (OF 346 license preferred).
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and correct documentation errors.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have a REAL ID.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC.
• Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
• Travel up to 25% within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming equipment from Army units per AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1.
• Match items to turn-in documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Update Army logistics systems to reflect receipt transactions.
• Stage and transfer items to designated warehouse locations.
• Prepare and process outbound shipments of Army equipment for transfer or disposal.
• Coordinate with transportation teams for scheduling, loading, and dispatch.
• Verify load plans and ensure cargo is properly packaged and secured.
• Maintain logs of all inbound and outbound shipments.
